Product description
These knives are made by Ishizuchi blacksmiths in the Tosa region of Japan.
This small team of blacksmiths follows the rich 400-year history of making sharp tools in the region.
These knives are a workhorse for both home and professional chefs.
They have great balance and feel, and feature the traditional rustic blue/black kurouchi or forge finish.
Due to the fantastic edge retention, toughness, and ease of sharpening, these knives are hugely popular among chefs in Japan and worldwide!
This beautiful cooking knife is made of high-quality stainless steel, making the cutting edge extra sharp.
The stainless steel consists of many layers of steel forged together and folded.
This provides hardness and ensures knives are less likely to break.
With a blade long enough for serious cooking yet more maneuverable than a full-size Kiritsuke, the Petty is ideal for quick and precise cuts.
Petty is the Japanese word for Utility or Paring, which in plain Dutch means universal.
This knife is excellent for finer tasks.
Particularly useful for slicing fruit finely and ideal for chopping herbs.
A very high-quality knife should not be missing in the best kitchens!
